The NeonDaisy community:
Freedom and kinship for girls who think outside the box

NeonDaisy is a joyful community for big-thinking girls who feel marginalised at mainstream school.

Our creative spaces give young people the freedom to discover themselves and connect with like-minded peers.

For these girls and gender non-conforming young people - 'Daisies' - we offer:

  • Local in-person social groups  to normalise self-acceptance and self-advocacy - modelled by our 'big sister' lived experience mentors

  • Youth-made arts magazines & digital content to connect and validate Daisies isolated at home

We also work to transform the conditions around Daisies through:

  • Local online parent/guardian community for peer support, meet ups & resources

  • Affirming national EBSA training for schools, co-developed with educators & young people

  • Influencing system-level decisions through our insights and amplifying the voices of Daisies

We make the space for young people to have fun, break the rules and explore their sense of self, boundaries, autonomy and sensory preferences, supported by neurodivergent role models.

This approach gives young people a greater sense of belonging, improved wellbeing, better connectedness and more confidence in expressing their wants and needs - paving the way for a safer transition into adulthood.
