Welcome to the NeonDaisy community:
Self-exploration, autonomy and togetherness for young people
We're a community for girls and gender non-conforming young people who are feeling alienated and overloaded by mainstream school.

We create the space for young people to discover themselves freely, and connect with the like-minded peers they've been missing.

For girls and gender non-conforming young people - 'Daisies' - we offer:
-
Local in-person social groups to normalise self-acceptance and self-advocacy - modelled by our 'big sister' mentors
-
Youth-made arts magazines & digital content to connect and validate Daisies isolated at home

We also work to transform the conditions around them through:
-
Local online parent/guardian community for peer support, meet ups & resources
-
Affirming national EBSA training for schools, co-developed with educators & young people
-
Influencing system-level decisions through our insights and amplifying the voices of Daisies

Our approach immerses young people in the affirming lived experience of others - through 'showing', not 'telling'. In this way, we encourage them to explore their sense of self, autonomy and sensory preferences, as well as modelling healthy ways to self-advocate and hold safe boundaries.

Centring both lived experience and evidence, our community is proven to give young people a greater sense of belonging, improved wellbeing, better connectedness and more confidence in expressing their wants and needs - paving the way for a safer transition into adulthood.
