Neon Daisy magazine

Welcome to the first edition of our NEW magazine, made for creative kids who think outside the box.

This magazine is for all young people, and it might be especially interesting to anyone who thinks they might be neurodivergent. We’ve made it with girls in mind; we hope that gender non-conforming folks enjoy it too, as well as boys.

Its vision is to create a beautiful, whimsical world which invites young people on a journey of creativity, self-discovery and connection. It’s published by NeonDaisy CIC - we're a small not-for-profit community organisation based in Bristol, UK.

Much of the content has been created by neurodivergent young people; we’ve also commissioned original illustrations from a neurodiverse group of amazing adult artists. All of what’s inside is completely original and unique, and not available online.

What do we mean by 'being neurodivergent'?

If you're neurodivergent, you might find that you think and feel in a different way from other people you know. You may not have a name for this, and that's perfectly ok.

Or maybe you have a diagnosis of autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, Tourette's Syndrome, something else, or a combo of these. And that's perfectly ok too.

Whoever you are, you're in very good company! There are gazillions of other awesome neurodivergent people out there in the world. And there's lots of them in this magazine too :-)

Inside:

  • Artwork and poetry created by young people

  • Life stories and neuro-affirmative advice from neurodivergent adults

  • Ideas about senses, friendships and feeling calm

  • Comics and puzzles

  • Space for readers to get creative too

A huge thank you to the NHS Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board for funding this first edition

The magazine is currently being printed - stay tuned to find out how to get a copy :-)
