Think differently about parenting

We have one job – to love our children and cradle them through whatever their actions may bring about. That's it!

It's not to secure their future, make sure they have friends, pass exams, prevent them from feeling any negative emotions, or to impress family or friends. Just love them, and nothing else.

You might end up having a different kind of family life from others, from the one you grew up with or expected to have.

But there are joyful moments to be had when you release yourself from all the ‘shoulds’ that you’ve absorbed over the years. Trust your instincts and try not to worry about what other people think of your parenting. The most important voice to listen to is hers.
